Can You Donate Food, Time, or Money?
30BARACK does NOT receive any funds or resources from OFA or any other source. Our volunteers and core team members pay out-of-pocket to cover all the expenses associated with staging our events, whether they be community service projects, phonebanks or neighborhood meetings.
Our primary ongoing costs are to maintain our website and generate the emails to our volunteers that make our events possible. These costs amount to more than $1,000 per year. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
FOOD
We love it when people bring snacks and beverages to share to our events. Just something simple like a bag of pretzels or chips, a box of cookies or a plate of fruit is much appreciated. We especially love home-baked items!
Restaurants
If you own a restaurant or other food-related business and would like to make a larger donation to one of our events, please contact ashley@30barack.com directly - she will respond within a few hours and help you help us.
TIME
Please sign up for one of our upcoming events. We do a lot of community service, like food and clothing drives, tree planting and wetland restoration, blood drives and events to benefit active duty troops and veterans. We are also working with Organizing for America to inform and educate citizens on major policy issues and help get President Obama's legislative agenda passed. We need participants and organizing volunteers to help make this possible. There is always a need for volunteers and plenty for you to do — please help!
CASH
If you are too busy to give us a few hours and you are not an iron chef — please consider donating a little cash. Your donations will help pay for our website and emails, office expenses like paper, toner, staples and pens, and all other incidentals needed to keep our operations going!
