Thank Your Local Heroes on 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance

In remembrance of September 11, 30BARACK is launching a grassroots effort to express thanks to our firefighters and police officers. We will NEVER FORGET the brave American heroes who died trying to save lives on 9/11, so let's take this opportunity to show our appreciation to those in our own community who risk their lives every day to keep us safe.

THE SIMPLE IDEA: Groups of people will appear at their local fire stations and police precincts (many locations and links listed below) on Friday, September 11 at either 8:30am before work, or 7:00pm that evening. Bring a plate of cookies, a lasagna, a handwritten thank you card, or simply a smile and heartfelt thanks. Invite some neighbors to join you. Take your kids too! The more, the merrier. Express your thanks and you are guaranteed to leave feeling great!

PLEASE NOTE: If you can't make either of the suggested times for the visits, go anytime you can. Thanks will be appreciated whenever offered. Also, feel free to improvise. There is no right or wrong way to thank your police officers and firefighters. Just do it from the heart!
